How to use magic wand in photopea?

To use the magic wand in photopea, Select the magic wand tool and click on the image and select the area, press backspace then delete the background, It will use the magic wand.

In the image below, I wanted to change the background to something more vibrant and dramatic. I want a color that contrasts well with the flower.

Today, I am going to show you how I use magic wand tool in photopea.

  • Insert image.
  • Select the magic wand.
  • Create a new layer.
  • Go to the select.
  • Go to Edit, then choose Fill.

Let’s start with the first step.

Step 1: Insert image.

Open the photopea and Select photo, it will open a file browser or download folder you can select the image. And click the open button.

Step 2: Select the magic wand.

Select the magic wand from the toolbar on the left side of your workspace.

You can make adjustments to the Magic Wand tool in the Options bar. Selecting Tolerance will change how much of the color areas are sampled. Checking Contiguous will ensure that only colors that are next to one another are selected. Click on image, and select the area.

Step 2: Create a new layer.

You’ll need another layer for the background color. Go to the bottom right-hand side of your workspace and choose the icon to create new layer.

Step 3: Go to the select.

Go to the top of the menu bar and click on select -> and choose deselect to deselect your the photo.

Step 4: Go to edit, then choose fill.

Go to the top of the menu bar and click on edit -> and choose fill.. to color the transparent layer.

To choose your color for the background, go to Edit and then choose Fill. This will bring up the color picker that will allow you to choose the exact color you wish to use as a background. Press ok to add this fill color to your background.

Drag that layer below the transparent layer.
